BIOFILM: FORMATION AND NATURAL PRODUCTS’ APPROACH TO CONTROL – A REVIEW.

چکیده

Biofilm formation, especially on indwelling medical devices such as catheters, can result in infections and substantially affect patients' quality of life. Biofilm-associated have led to increased morbidity mortality, cost treatment, length hospital stay. However, all the identified consequences biofilm-associated had been attributed reduced susceptibility biofilm conventional antimicrobial agents which has necessitated development a new strategy for control, thereby making search more effective from plant source inevitable. So far, some (crude or isolated compounds) sources specific stage while few them developed into suitable dosage form control. In this review, an attempt is made look definitions by "biofilmologists", stages mechanisms resistance biofilm, control strategies, use natural products concepts probiotics
